June looks like it will be a busy month with lots of events going on to celebrate HM The Queen's Official Birthday on Saturday 11th June. Later on in the month sees the return of National Cream Tea Day on Friday 24th June. This quintessential British tradition of scones with plenty of jam and cream would certainly make me want to attend afternoon tea. One thing that I am sure will be in common across both these events is Cupcakes.........
Cupcakes originated in the early 19th century, with the first mention of the cupcake being traced as far back as 1796. In recent years cupcakes have become a favourite amongst us all with the 21st century seeing shops dedicated to selling nothing but cupcakes.
There are some lovely fabrics available which feature cupcakes, so May has seen me working on some new products utilising a patriotic red white and blue cupcake themed fabric, there are even little gold crowns for Her Majesty.

June also sees the re-launch of Live Chic, the home of beautiful unique gifts you just can't get anywhere else. Molly Felicity Designs are pleased to be working closely with the team behind Live Chic and our new Red, White and Blue, Cupcake Bunting and Fabric Basket Set will soon be available to purchase from their revamped website.
